It’s wonderful to be born again, but you must grow up to His fullness. Christ is coming to His body in His parousia, which is His abiding presence. Parousia is a Greek word. The English Bibles generally translate “parousia” as “coming.” It means “abiding presence.” Christ is coming to His body to live in His body and be seen in His body.

Someone said those Christians who aren’t interested in Christ coming to His body won’t be happy when Christ returns for His body. Christians who won’t listen to God as He’s speaking will not be in a good place when Jesus returns. Christians who listen to ungodly people will not be in a good place when Christ returns. And there is no middle ground. There’s no place for those who want to be lukewarm, neither hot nor cold.

Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion. ~ Hebrews 3:15b
