All Who Seek Christ Find Christ

<quote>

Everyone who sincerely seeks Christ finds Christ. Although He forces Himself on no one, He rejects no one. Rather, He freely pardons and sets us free from the sinful nature, peer pressure, and the deceitful power of the devil as we yield ourselves to His grace and righteousness. And Christ reveals Himself to every person through the things He has created and the testimony of those who walk in the Spirit. Christ leads, teaches, and corrects every person who follows Him. He interprets our observations and experiences and shows us the way. He’s the Source of every good thing including knowledge, understanding, wisdom, righteousness, and faith. What He says is the truth. Outside of Him, none of those are possible. For instance, the human mind can’t reason to any truth without Christ. Nor can we self-generate true righteousness without Christ.

If God Doesn’t Supply Truth

<quote>

It seemed that if God doesn’t supply the truth through some form of divine revelation, rational thought would be impossible. Without that truth, humans could only react to their natural senses as animals do. They could learn about how to react to those senses, but they couldn’t reason beyond what they could observe and test. And I noted that science that leads to technology is limited to what we can observe and test. If all of that is true, then all human reason that goes beyond what can be observed or what God has revealed would be irrational and unsound.

In Christ all Knowledge and Wisdom is Hidden

<quote>

Could it be that we can only find truth in Christ Jesus? If so, what does this do to theology, philosophy, and science? How does this affect the argument between presuppositional apologists and evidential apologists? What about logic, critical thinking, and decision-making?

Vapor

<quote>

Could it be that we base most of our thinking on made-up stuff? If so, our thoughts are pure vapor.

There’s an alternative. His name is Jesus Christ. He’s real and knowable. All who seek Him find Him. His sheep hear His voice. All who are on the side of truth listen to Him. He speaks through the Bible and every means of divine revelation mentioned in the Bible. We’re totally dependent on Him. Why then does the fleshly nature not want to yield to Him completely?

Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. ~ Romans 8:23

Our bodies have not yet been redeemed. We do groan within ourselves as we wait for that adoption, that redemption of our bodies.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. ~ John 6:63

Rather than turn to the natural mind, we need to turn to Christ. And yet, we often try to depend on the arm of the flesh. We try to reason with a mind that has no path to true premises. What Jesus says is the truth . . . ALWAYS.
