“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to His throne” (Revelation 12:1-5 KJV).

Two things must happen to prepare us to qualify for this responsibility, and these are the two things the Holy Spirit has been doing in us as we listen to His leading and yield ourselves to His righteousness so He can work through us. First, the Holy Spirit forms Christ in us. He becomes our identity. Second, the Light of Christ demolishes the old fleshly nature we inherited from Adam. God has shown us His Way to form Christ in us and remove the fleshly veil.

A man-child company of mature children of God is being born from the church. They will rule over the nations with authority and power, and they will bear the fruit of the Spirit. They will execute justice, love mercy, and walk in humility as no one has ever done.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren” (Romans 8:28-29 KJV).

What is the image of Christ? This isn’t a little change. We will completely submit to the Father, always listening to His leading and moving as He directs us. We will only say the words He says through us. We will only do the acts He does through us. Our thoughts will be pure. The rebellious sinful nature will have vanished from existence. Disease, pain, fear, and sorrow will have ceased. God will delegate total authority and power to us. God will set us with the responsibility to rule and reign with Him. With the fleshly nature removed, the glory of Christ will shine out of us. We’re called to greater works than Christ did on earth.

If the Holy Spirit leads us, that means we listen and follow. As we listen and follow, the Holy Spirit changes us by degrees. He is bringing us to “the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God.” He continues to transfigure us “to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.” In that blessed state, God will deliver the world from the bondage of corruption through us and bring it into the glorious liberty of the mature children of God.

The word “manifestation” is “apokalupsis” in Greek, and it speaks of removing the fleshly veil. This isn’t an event that just happens for no reason. The Holy Spirit has been leading us toward this event for decades. We grow into it. As we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, we come to maturity. The fleshly nature dies away while the Holy Spirit forms Christ in us until we come to the complete manifestation.

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the Glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God” (Romans 8:18-19 KJV).
