Before you could be born again, the Father had to draw you to Christ. (John 6:44) He drew you. He led you by talking to you. He might have spoken to you through the Bible, a Christian friend, a quiet word in your spirit, or some combination. God can speak however He wants. You heard Him, and Christ authored faith in you. Faith gave you access to grace, and grace worked through you to confess Jesus is Lord as you yielded your mouth and tongue to His grace.
