You don’t try to sweep out the darkness. You have spiritual weapons with divine power to demolish the strongholds in your mind.

You built strongholds in your mind without consciously thinking about what you were doing. You don’t know what most of those strongholds are yet. They seem like reality to you. You know about some of your strongholds. You know about thoughts that creep in, thoughts the Holy Spirit brings to your attention. You don’t want to entertain those thoughts, but you can’t sweep them out. You know your thoughts. I know mine. The more you try to NOT think about them the more you think about them. They keep popping up.

Turn on the Light. The Light is Jesus Christ. He has equipped you, and He will equip you more. He gave you spiritual weapons. One weapon is seeking God. Another is prayer.
