Faith is the substance of God’s vision of hope. It’s as if you’re looking into a mirror at the perfect law of liberty. The Holy Spirit pulls the veil of your flesh away from you so you can see a glimpse. God’s mirror isn’t a material mirror. It’s a spiritual mirror. In this spiritual mirror, you see who you are in Christ. You don’t see your fleshly nature. You see the spiritual man. The spiritual man is Jesus Christ. It’s Christ in you.
In God’s mirror, you see the body of Christ and how you fit into that body. You see Christ in yourself and Christ in the other members of the body of Christ by God’s hope. God’s hope is absolute and solid. When you see the body of Christ, you see it as the fulfilled body. You see every member as the Christ within Who cannot sin. As you look into this mirror at the glory of the body of Christ as it ought to be, you’re transfigured into the image and likeness of the living Christ.
