“Metamorphoo” is the word the Bible uses to describe the time Jesus was transfigured on the mountain. Jesus went up the mountain with Peter, James, and John and was transfigured before them.

The Greek word translated as “transformed” is “metamorphoo.” A caterpillar in a cocoon transforms into a butterfly. It goes into the cocoon as a caterpillar and comes out a butterfly. We call that metamorphosis.
