First, God speaks. God leads. (see Hebrews 3:15) When God leads and we listen, God’s faith comes. (see Romans 10:17) Jesus is the spoken word of God, which is why Jesus authors and finishes our faith. (see Hebrews 12:2) Faith accesses grace. (see Romans 5:2) Grace says God’s words and does God’s acts through us as we yield. (see Hebrews 12:28) When God moves and we yield, the Holy Spirit changes us. (see Romans 6:19

When Jesus said, “their deeds were evil” He is talking about sin. Sin is either slipping or stepping off the Pathway to life. Jesus Christ is the Pathway to Life, and He’s the truth or light that shines on that Pathway. (see John 14:6)
