Faith is the substance (hupostasis) of things hoped for. It’s the title-deed that guarantees whatever God agreed to when He spoke to us. Faith, that title-deed, came by hearing God speak. It conveyed real property to us when God spoke. The faith that comes when God speaks has actual existence. It’s a substance. And it contains within itself steadfastness of mind, firmness, courage, resolution, confidence, firm trust, and assurance.
