There is certainly a lot of magical thinking that goes into the Big-Bang-Billions-of-Years-No-Flood-Molecules-to-Man story. Every so-called evidence is based on either made-up stories or else assumptions. The assumptions come out the the Big-Bang-Billions-of-Years-No-Flood-Molecules-to-Man worldview, making the entire thought process circular. Yet, we see Jesus. Hebrews 2:9 The Holy Spirit leads and teaches every follower of Christ moment by moment. One of the things the Holy Spirit teaches everyone who follows Christ is that the Bible is the Word of God without error and that He speaks through Scripture.
Irrational Evolutionism
To be an evolutionist, a person has to have a bias toward evolution. Rational thinking would eliminate it immediately. For kids in school, they have never learned critical thinking, except to be skeptical of God. There is a reason that this works. It ties two things together: a reward and the desires of the fleshly nature that’s enslaved to Satan. The only way anyone escapes this is by the power of grace for righteousness.
Universal Negative
Some Atheists try to avoid asserting a universal negative by carefully stating that they only have a lack of belief. God reveals that they all know that He exists. God says that He has revealed Himself to them through the things that He has created. To avoid submission to their Creator and God, Atheists claim there isn’t enough evidence. God knows their innermost minds, so they can’t get away with such a lie. They love darkness rather than light. They love evil rather than Good. They don’t want to be directed by God, so they do mental loops to avoid Him. The suppress the truth in unrighteousness. As they do they are able to harden their hearts (innermost minds) against God and cut off His Voice and reality. The expense to the Atheist is great. Not only will they suffer in the life to come, but they also lose any basis for reasoning in this life. In essence, they lose touch with reality. God says that He turns them over to a reprobate mind.
Arguing
There’s never any sense in arguing with an Atheist or any other person who is resistant to the Holy Spirit for that matter. God doesn’t force Himself on them. Christians are not to cast their pearls in that direction. Once Atheists are trolling on social media, they are usually quite hardened in their thinking. When they realize that they can’t be rational because of their reprobate mind, they just commit themselves to invincible ignorance. It’s sad.
However, when an Atheist is honest and sincerely looking for truth, that’s a different story. Then, they will be able to meet Christ and know.
Atheist Reasoning
Atheists trying to reason would be funny if it weren’t so sad. They try to reason when they have no basis for reason because of the Münchhausen trilemma. They can’t have true premises, because their premises must be based on unsupported assertions of some sort. So, they just make assertions, pulled from the air, and use tricks to claim that they’re true. Vehemence and nested fallacies can’t make anything true, so they are sunk when it comes to reasoning.
“As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouth of fools.” Proverbs 26:9
Can Secularists Reply?
Secularists can always reply to anything that challenges their worldviews. They just have to pull their responses out of the air. There is no way that a Secularist can get to a true premise for any conclusion because of the Münchhausen trilemma. The only way that a premise can be true is through Divine revelation–and Secularists deny Divine revelation based on reasons that they pull out of the air.
Fake Reality Without Christ
Every person who follows Christ is led and taught by Christ moment by moment. It has to do with a personal relationship. If you are trying to fit this into your worldview, a worldview without God in which every thought must be based on made-up stuff, this won’t seem to make sense. However, a worldview isn’t part of reality. It is conceptual only. It is a fake reality that seems more real than real reality.
Are You Sure?
Christian: We could certainly say that no one, while on his or her death bed, has ever regretted following Christ.
Atheist: Are you sure?
Christian: I’m sure. This is what Christ tells me, and He can’t lie. In fact, Michael, no one can be certain about anything except by Divine revelation. Faith is an imparted certainty that comes when Christ speaks. God says, “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the utterance/rhema of God.”
