God must be in science if science is knowledge of the truth. However, many are ever learning but never coming to a knowledge of the truth. What are they learning if not the truth? They are learning conjectures of other people. Many of the fabrications they’re learning have been generally accepted as facts for decades or centuries. The problem is that, with a single assumption, you can prove anything to yourself. If you assume that your close friend doesn’t exist, you can prove that your close friend doesn’t exist using perfect logical form starting with your assumption of his non-existence. Premise: your friend doesn’t exist. Therefore, your friend doesn’t exist. There’s nothing in the conclusion that isn’t proven by the premise, so the logic is sound except for the fact that the premise isn’t true. Logic must be based on truth. Allow a single assumption, and your logic is unsound. It’s insane.

So how do you get a true premise? Any premise you reason to must be proven. When you bring up a proof for your premise, that proof must be proven. You will find yourself in an infinite regression of unproved proofs. You can observe, and your observations can discover parts of reality, but you can’t reason far beyond your observations. You can live pragmatically. You can discover things that seem to work. You can have strong opinions. You can argue like crazy. You can’t reason to the truth in this way.
THE ANSWER:
Jesus Christ is the Truth. In Him is hidden all knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. He is real and knowable. All who seek Him find Him. He leads, teaches, and corrects everyone who follows Him. He also is the light of the world. His rain falls on the just and the unjust. He reveals Himself to every person through the things He has created. When we go beyond what He reveals through observation, the Bible, or methods of revelation He reveals through the Bible, we travel into the land of make-believe. That’s the problem with philosophies like evolutionism, naturalism, materialism, flat-earthism, no-Genesis-floodism, billions-of-yearsism, etc. They all come from confusion between reality and made-up stuff. Sanity is understanding the difference between reality and made-up stuff. Understanding that difference is called discernment. Discernment comes from God. We can’t self-generate it. Seek Him early while He may be found. He says, “Everyone who’s on the side of truth listens to Me.”
