Righteousness is Necessary

Be doers of the word (Christ in you leading you), and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves. . . . Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. ~ James 1:22 & 2:17

God’s word is Him leading, teaching, and correcting you. You need to be a doer of His word. Faith without works hasn’t finished the cycle. God sowed His good Seed, but something happened. God spoke His Word and faith came, but the faith never bore any fruit. God sowed the Seed, but the Seed landed on hard ground, the trampled path, or the thorns.

For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteous standard of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. ~ Romans 8:3-4
