Satan’s Tricks

Satan will try to get you working for God when grace isn’t working through you to do the works. Satan will try to disguise his voice as God’s voice to deceive you. Then, if he can deceive you, he’ll tell you God doesn’t speak or you can’t know God’s voice from other voices. He’ll try to get your fleshly mind to come up with ideas for serving God rather than waiting for God to direct you. He’ll try to get you to send yourself to do what God never asked you to do. He’ll try to get you to depend on your intellect and abilities rather than depending on God. He’ll bring false teachers, leaders, and pastors to give you guidance that didn’t come from God. Satan will use all these tricks plus the other tricks mentioned in this chapter.
