The human mind is incapable of rational thought on its own. Without truth, there is no rational thought. The human mind can’t reason to truth. Agrippa the Skeptic discovered this about 2,000 years ago, and philosophers have been unsuccessfully trying to get around that fact since then. As a result, every secular form of epistemology is rooted in unproven and unprovable axioms that are taken as facts without any evidence. You can research and find that this is the case.

The only way anyone can know anything is if Someone Who knows all things and Who can’t lie reveals the truth to that person. Fortunately, Jesus Christ is the Light that enlightens every person. God demonstrates His reality to every person.

Some people acknowledge Him, thank Him, and give Him the glory for the knowledge He gives. They continue to walk into ever-greater light and knowledge of the truth. Others refuse to do that and gradually lose the ability to tell the difference between the voice of God and the things their useless mind makes up or even between what God says and what demons whisper into their minds. The eventually can’t tell the difference between reality and make-believe. That’s why you’re seeing so many crazy opinions all around.

Ask God to reveal His process to transform you.

This diagram with keys represents a single step in God’s process for transforming you on your transformation journey. Each step on your journey takes a moment. Go through these Bible verses and pray about this. Ask God to reveal this process to you.

Consider these Scriptures while studying the diagram. Look into faith first and continue with grace. God leads, teaches, and corrects every person. Christ is the Light, and He lights every person. Some people turn away from the Light. They refuse to thank God for the wisdom and knowledge He gives. Others acknowledge the Light and thank God for the Light. All wisdom and knowledge come from God. Those who thank God, listen, and yield to His Spirit walk into ever-increasing Light as Christ is formed in them. Those who refuse to thank God won’t listen to Him or yield to His Spirit. HAVE YOU BEEN GOING FROM GLORY TO GLORY TO GLORY?

Transformation is both a gradual process and a sudden process. If you have been walking in the Spirit as the Scripture commands, God has been working on your transformation all the while. You have been going from glory to glory to glory to glory, one step at a time. However, a day is coming when there will be a sudden change. The old rebellious fleshly nature will be gone and Christ will be fully mature in you.

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” 1 Corinthians 15:52-53

“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” Romans 8:19

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Why will your old rebellious nature be gone one day?
What does it mean for you to be changed in the twinkling of an eye?
What are the sons of God waiting for?

The Bible shouts to us of transformation. God wants to transform us into the image and likeness of Christ.

“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” Philippians 3:20-21
The adoption mentioned in Scripture is a sort of adoption different from what you may be familiar with. You may be more familiar with the word “adoption” as modern (Western) adoption, meaning taking someone who’s not born into the family and adding that person to the family. That’s a wonderful thing too, but it’s not what Scripture is talking about when it mentions adoption. Biblical (Eastern) adoption is a totally different concept. The person who is adopted must be a born son. The Bible uses the word “son,” but it applies to men and women. In the Scripture, adoption is placing a mature son into a position of authority in the family business. That’s why born again Christians are waiting for the adoption. And that adoption is the redemption of our bodies.

“And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.” Romans 8:23

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14

BE TRANSFORMED. ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO GIVE YOU A NEW MIND.

God shows you that He’s going to transform you. Consider these Scriptures:

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

You were born again by believing God. You accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior from sin. The moment you were born again, you became a new creation. Your spirit was joined to God’s Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” You are a three-part being, spirit, soul or mind, and body. Your spirit is redeemed. In your spirit, you are seated in heavenly places. Now, the battle is for your mind. Satan wants it. You must choose.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

If you want to hear God’s voice more clearly, spend time with Him.

If you want to hear God’s voice, spend time with God. If you want to hear God’s voice more clearly, spend time with God. Engage God. Seek His face and His hand will move on your behalf. Don’t just seek what God can do for you with His hand. Seek friendship with God. Converse with God, and let God lead the conversation. God doesn’t mind your questions. God resists the proud. Come in humility. Remember that pride destroyed Lucifer. Let yourself be the one who doesn’t know. Be dependent on God. If you seek Him, you will find Him. He will answer your prayers. Learn to enjoy the Lord. Enjoy His humor and the riddles He gives. Go deep into conversation with Him without fear.

Consider the three-stewards parable. Two stewards took the risk and invested the gold they had been given. Gold is a type of deity. They invested. One steward played it safe and lost what he had. Don’t play it safe.

Sometimes, when you walk with God, you will make mistakes. You will look like a fool. And yet, God honors the fact that you trust Him. You aren’t afraid to go ahead when you sense the Holy Spirit leading. Your carnal nature has great pride and never wants to make a mistake. Fear comes in and clamps down on the Holy Spirit. Pride-driven fear wants to play it safe. Step out when God tells you to step out. Through obedience and trust, God will develop confidence and discernment in you.

When God gives you something, stand by it. The enemy will test it. Do not waver. The enemy will mock through brothers and sisters in Christ. Stay faithful. Stand strong. You can come back to God and ask Him whether you got it wrong, but receive the confirmation in spite of the physical evidence. Don’t give up on the brink of a miracle.

In what ways do you spend time with God?
How do you seek God’s face?
Why is it important that you seek friendship with God and not just ask for things?
What does it mean if you are humble before God?
Why did the steward who played it safe lose what he had?

UNFOLDING REVELATION. GOD CORRECTS US.

The carnal human mind is corrupted and will try to edit what God gives you or may even put in comments that didn’t come from God. That’s one of the reasons it’s a great idea not to become dogmatic about anything. Let God constantly guide you and correct and complete your understanding of the Bible and everything else.

“For when I brought your fathers out of the land of Egypt, I did not merely command them about burnt offerings and sacrifices, but this is what I commanded them: Obey Me, and I will be your God, and you will be My people. You must walk in all the ways I have commanded you, so that it may go well with you. Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but they followed the stubborn inclinations of their own evil hearts. They went backward and not forward.” Jeremiah 7:22-24

The original language of the Bible says you need to be diligent and careful in your seeking. In other words, you must ask your questions to Him and only Him, and you must believe He will answer you. It’s not hard. It’s simple. Just direct your mind toward God and don’t get distracted by comments from your carnal mind. Ask God to protect you from other voices, and tell Him you want to hear His voice and His voice alone. Jesus said that your heavenly Father won’t give you the wrong thing, but He is able to give you His Holy Spirit if you ask for it.

Ask God to answer these questions.

What can you do to make sure your carnal mind doesn’t deceive you?
Why should you avoid being dogmatic about things?

YOUR MIND IS CORRUPT AND CAN’T BE TRUSTED

God says, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me (John 10:27).” When God speaks to you, He may use any of your physical or spiritual senses of hearing, seeing, tasting, smelling, or feeling. He can show you a vision. Sometimes, you just know something, but you don’t know how you know except you know the knowledge came from God. And yet, even when you know, you know in part. You need that relationship with Christ where you hear His voice, receive His faith, and are empowered for His righteousness by His grace. Then, you won’t fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

”Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God (John 8:47).”

You are of God if you receive Him as your Lord to rule over you. “Whoever goes to God must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).” All true knowledge and wisdom are from God.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

The earlier you do this, the easier it is for you. You can try to be righteous on your own, but you will fail. Only by the power of the Spirit can you truly do God’s will. If you ask God for an answer and ask Him to protect you from other voices, you can trust that He will speak to you by His Spirit.

“And which father among you, if the son will ask for a fish, and instead of a fish, will give to him a serpent? Or also if he will ask for an egg, will he give to him a scorpion? Therefore if you, being evil, know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father who is in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him!” Luke 11:11-13

Ask God to answer these questions:

• What does hearing God’s voice do to you?
• Name some of the ways God has spoken to you?
• What does it mean for you to receive faith from God?
• What does John 8:47 mean when it says you hear God’s words if you are of God?
• “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). What does this teach you about trusting God?

We are not under the Law but under grace. Why!

The carnal mind would rather set up rules, concepts, laws, and principles than stand in the presence of God being led by His Spirit. It would rather partake of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil than to have that relationship with God. And yet, we need to know the difference between good and evil. Why did God command Adam and Eve not to eat of that tree? We are not under the Law but under grace. What’s so bad about the Law? Knowledge of good and evil was a substitute for knowing God and being led by Him. The Law also became a substitute and a way to try to be righteous disconnected from God. Of course, righteousness apart from a personal relationship with God is impossible.

The fleshly nature says, “Who needs God since we have the Law?” Grace includes the free gift of righteousness. Sin is failure to hear God’s voice and failure to follow His leading by His power and the free gift of righteousness. True righteousness always begins with God’s leading and us listening and yielding ourselves to His Spirit to the point that He does His works and says His words through us.

Beyond knowing about Jesus Christ, we need to know Him personally. He will never lead us contrary to true righteousness. He will never lead us in a way that contradicts Scripture. We need that personal relationship. That means we need to hear directly from the Spirit of Christ. God speaks to everyone. We know that by experience, and the Bible tells us the same thing. Some people listen to Him. Some of those who listen yield to His Spirit of love, joy, and peace to the point the God can do His works through them. Here’s some Scripture to back this up:

“Because a knowledge of God is revealed to them, for God has revealed it to them. For the secrets of God from the foundation of the world are appearing to His creatures through intelligence, even His power and His eternal Godhead, that they will be without a defense, Because they knew God, and they did not glorify Him as God, nor did they give Him thanks, so that they became destitute in their reasoning and became dull in their heart without understanding. And when they thought in themselves that they were wise, they became insane. Romans 1:19-22

“The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God” John 1:9-12

“Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Father” Matthew 4:4

Ask God to answer these questions:

• How do you hear from the Spirit of Christ?
• Why is it important for you to go beyond just knowing about Jesus?
• What does it mean when you say God speaks to everyone?
• What does it mean for you to listen to God?
• How can you let God do His works through you?

Bonus questions:

• Romans 1:19-22 says, “knowledge of God is revealed to them, for God has revealed it to them.” It means the knowledge of God is revealed to those who say they don’t believe in God, so it says those people have no excuse. What does that tell you about those who say they believe God doesn’t exist?
• John 1:9-12 says some people refused to receive Jesus. How much does that affect you when you do receive Jesus?
• What does it mean for you to live by every word that comes from God?

WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES ON HEALING

Scripture is clear on healing.

“For I am the LORD that healeth thee.” (Exodus 15:26)

“Bless the LORD, O my soul… who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.” (Psalm 103:2-3)

“And Jesus went about all Galilee… healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.” (Matthew 4:23)

“With his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

“Then he called his twelve disciples… and he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:1-2)

“Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” (Mark 5:34)

“Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him… and the prayer of faith shall save the sick.” (James 5:14-15) This is a special case and applies to the order of elders. The order of elders is scarcely found in the church, but God will restore it.

Further study on elders if you are interested (Acts 14:23, Titus 1:5, 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:6–9, Acts 20:17, 28, 1 Peter 5:1–2)

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.” (James 5:16)

“To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:9)

“They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (Mark 16:17-18)

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 Paul was not healed of his “thorn in the flesh,” and some theologians say the thorn in the flesh was a physical infirmity. The Bible doesn’t say that. The way Paul writes, the thorn could well have been the painful memories of the way he tortured and killed Christians and the accusations of demons against him.

Some theologians say God no longer heals and that these Scriptures don’t apply anymore. On the other hand, many Christians have been blessed with true healing ministries. Many of those who are currently blessed are trying to teach other Christians how God wants them to walk in God’s healing Anointing. Seek the Lord and see whether He wants you to be effective when you pray for the sick or suffering.

• What does it mean that God heals?
• Does God heal all diseases?
• How did Jesus heal people?
• Why does the Bible say, “With His stripes we are healed”?
• What did Jesus send His disciples to do?
