(Quote from https://realreality.org/downloads/how-god-will-transform-you/)

If I come up with my own ideas of how to please God without faith, I’ll go off course and fight against the will of God. My intent may be good, but I need Jesus Christ. He’s the Source of all Truth. Without Him, I’m already off course. I may trust people who have evil intent who convince me to do things that will have terrible consequences. And it’s all in the name of “serving the Lord” without knowing the Lord. I might start promoting evil. If I dream up my own sense of justice, I can twist justice into injustice. If I follow the political correctness of the world, I can’t follow the leading of Christ.

Consider that Saul persecuted Christians as he was trying to serve God his own way. The Jews killed Jesus by trying to serve God their own way. Today, many Christians have gone so far away from knowing Jesus Christ they fight for Marxism, Humanism, racism, evolutionism, killing babies in the womb, and many forms of lawlessness. They normalize every form of perversion and sinful behavior.
