You must identify with Christ and not with your fallen fleshly nature.

Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, ~ Romans 8:5-6

You have five keys. First God speaks, but when He speaks, he doesn’t just tell you what to do. He speaks a vision of hope into your heart. This vision is like looking into a mirror since you see yourself and your surroundings. This is a spiritual mirror, so you don’t see your fallen, natural self. You see your spiritual self. You see Christ in you.

And you see those around you. For those who are born again, you see them after the Spirit. You see Christ in them. You see who you are in Christ and what Christ is commanding you to do right now. That’s when faith comes and gives you access to grace so you can do what God commands you to do. When you yield to the point of obedience, the Holy Spirit transforms you. The Holy Spirit peels off one layer of that fleshly veil and builds Christ in you more fully.

You go where you look. If you look at your carnal fallen nature, that’s what you will follow. If you look at Christ within you, that’s Who you will follow. If you look at your brother and sister in Christ and see their carnal fallen nature, you will become more carnal. If you look at your brother and sister in Christ and see the ministry, the Christ, within them, you will become more like Christ.
