Your first ancestors were Adam and Eve. They obeyed Satan instead of obeying God, and that started the problem. When Adam and Eve obeyed Satan, a spiritual law said, “Whoever you yield yourself as a servant to obey, that’s whose servant you are.” Adam and Eve became slaves of Satan. Sin came to live in them in what’s called the fleshly or carnal nature. Their children were born as slaves. Their grandchildren became slaves. And so every person from then until now has done what’s wrong. Sin lived in all of them. Satan was their slave master.
