No chain of thought is stronger than its weakest link.

No chain of thought is stronger than its weakest link.

No chain of thought is stronger than its weakest link.

Some people don’t believe the first book of the Bible happened just the way it’s written. They believe the Bible is wrong or simply symbolic when it talks about the beginning, but that’s not true. It did happen just the way it’s written. The language is that of historical narrative. And the Holy Spirit testifies to the truth of every part of the Bible, including the history.

The Holy Spirit reveals the difference between a poetic phrase and a record of a historical event. And yet, some people say science or something else proved the history or some other part of the Bible to be wrong. Those are lies. Those people are wrong. They don’t understand science. Science doesn’t prove anything, and science isn’t about truth. The best science can do is to show what seems to work in the present. Other than that, it can suggest possible ideas when it wanders off into the never never land of imagination. However, many Christians have strong feelings about this and fight against the truth. “Education” and media work together as a single system like a great false prophet and many are under its spell. The false-prophet system has planted many seeds and has built strongholds in many minds.

What’s the answer? Come into the presence of the Holy Spirit and ask Him about it.

God uses science to reveal how things work. Science and logic can work pretty well to test what works. But any knowledge comes from Jesus Christ whether scientists acknowledge Him and thank Him or not. The records of what has worked in the past can give clues about what might work in the future. Neither science nor logic (the secular form) work to tell us what’s true. And they don’t work well to tell us what happened in the past. The further into the past we go, the worse they work. If you try to figure out why something happened an hour ago, science and logic can seem to work pretty well. If you try to figure out what why something happened a day ago, science and logic can seem to work, but not as well as if it was just an hour ago. When you go back a week, it gets worse, and going back a year gets even worse. Going back a hundred years, you have to depend on what people wrote at the time or interpretation of artifacts. There might be some physical evidence for some things, but you have to make assumptions. The further back in time you go, the more assumptions you have to make. At a certain point, the assumptions seem real, but they are just assumptions.

No building is stronger than its foundation.

No chain of thought is stronger than its weakest link.

Ask God to answer these questions:

Why don’t some people believe the first book of the Bible is true?
What is historical narrative the Bible uses in defining history?
What are some lies people tell about the Bible?
Why can’t science or logic tell you what’s true?
Why don’t science and logic work well for things that happened in the past?

Bonus questions:

Assumptions are things you make up and treat like they’re true. Why must ungodly people depend on assumptions when they try to figure out what happened a long time ago?
Why do some people reject (or interpret as symbolic) the history in Genesis?
What does the Holy Spirit tell you about whether the creation account in Genesis is meant to be understood literally or symbolically?
Why is so-called “evidence” that relies on assumptions (made-up stuff) no stronger than the assumptions on which it is based?
What role do the education system and media play in brainwashing people about the origins of the universe?
Why do you need the presence of the Holy Spirit when you seek answers about difficult questions?
Why are science and logic so limited to uncover truths about the past or spiritual matters?
