Righteousness is God working in you by grace, which is through faith. Here’s the same pattern again. God leads. You listen. Faith comes and opens the spiritual door to God’s grace. And grace does God’s acts of righteousness through you. Grace speaks God’s righteous words through you if you yield yourself to His free gift of righteousness. Can you see the power of this pattern?
The Narrow Way
everything that is not from faith is sin. ~ Romans 14:23b
Everything means EVERYTHING. The way is extremely narrow and constricted. Only what God leads you to is righteous. Only what God does through you by grace, which is through faith, is righteous. Everything else steps off the Pathway or slips off the Pathway.
You can make your own plans. They can be religious and lofty. However, if God didn’t lead you and do His works through you by grace through faith, then it’s sin. Sin is your own way. Sin is my own way. Righteousness is God saying His words and doing His acts through you. Everything else is sin. The way is narrow. Whatever God didn’t lead you to and do through you is sin.
