Some Christians Want to Know Jesus Christ

Someone just posted something that makes no sense at all. I’ll re-post it here since this is an argument you will hear if you are seeking to know Jesus Christ in a real and effective way. “Yes, the voice of the Father is clearly discerned when one READS and mediates on the Holy Word of God–none other means since the completion of the Scriptures and the death of the longest living Apostle: John.”

Since I don’t want to get into another fruitless argument, I’ll just answer this statement here without responding to the post. The claim is

“the Bible is the only way God speaks to us.”

This is a common claim in certain denominational theologies. However, that claim is not in the Bible, so where did it come from? Well, this person is saying he didn’t get this doctrine from the Holy Spirit by any of the means if divine revelation mentioned in the Bible. Where did this man get this doctrine? The only two options left are from the human heart/mind, which the Bible says is deceitful and desperately wicked or from a demon.

This man may say it’s in the Bible. I can assure you that the Bible says repeatedly that God speaks and gives many ways God speaks. I can assure you that the Bible doesn’t say God only speaks through the Bible. However, the fallen human mind and demons are very clever at saying that Bible says things the Bible doesn’t say. If any skeptical Christian or naturalist Christian says, “The Bible says …”, be very careful to read the Bible and note the differences between what the Bible actually says and what the skeptical naturalist is claiming. You will see they are adding to Scripture and leaving out Scripture that applies. They are working in a doctrine of demons.

This is the type of doctrine that demons use to keep Christians from actually knowing Christ. They attempt to keep God in a box of their own making. It’s very sad.
