The word “perfect” means totally mature or complete. The body of Christ will reach total maturity when all members submit to Christ the Head and allow God to form them into the image and likeness of Christ. God will form Christ’s body according to every precept of Scripture. The rebellious carnal nature will vanish. Then, you’ll see the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-16 tells you how the body of Christ works as part of God’s process to lead you to maturity. It’s by what every joint supplies. The joints are the places where the members of the body meet each other. Every part builds up every other part.

Do You Love Jesus?

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. ~ John 14:15

This isn’t a matter of you trying to be good enough to prove you love Jesus. It’s not about proving you love Jesus. It’s a matter of knowing Jesus. Christ leads you every moment. He lets you know what He wants you to do. He lets you know what He doesn’t want you to do. These are His commandments. You just found out about the five keys that give you the power to keep the commandments Christ gives you every moment. This power is the same great power that created the universe, and now it’s creating a clean heart in you.

Jesus said you will keep His commandments if you love Him. These aren’t the commandments of Moses. These aren’t the Ten Commandments. These are the commandments Jesus gives you through the Holy Spirit. Jesus will always lead you into what is right and good. You will sense when something is not right. It’s the perfect law of liberty. Liberty is freedom from slavery. If you sin, you are a slave to sin. Have you ever felt like a slave? Have you ever felt hopeless? Christ will set you free. When He sets you free, you will be free indeed.
