WHO IS THE WORD OF GOD? “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Everything that God made, He made with His Word. He spoke, and it was. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:1-14) God means what He says. God is telling us about “the Word.” The “Word” mentioned in this passage of Scripture is a stated declaration and that stated declaration is Christ. In plain language, God spoke. That’s how God created everything. And that same Word that God spoke became flesh in the form of Jesus Christ. This isn’t a metaphor. God means what He is saying through Scripture. Jesus Christ IS the Word spoken by the Father. And faith comes by hearing this Word.
