You can make your own plans. They can be religious and lofty. However, if God didn’t lead you and do His works through you by grace through faith, then it’s sin. Sin is your own way. Sin is my own way. Righteousness is God saying His words and doing His acts through you. Everything else is sin. The way is narrow. Whatever God didn’t lead you to and do through you is sin.

Your calling is high in Christ. The Creator of the universe lives in you in all His authority and power if you have the Holy Spirit. If you’re born again, you have the Holy Spirit living in you. The Holy Spirit wants to overwhelm you with His love and goodness. He wants to leap up like a surging fountain in you and bless everyone around you.
